How Do I Get Into Relationship w/ God?

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

As we endure this thing we call life, we will encounter the good, bad and the ugly. The moment we choose to serve God, is our 2nd chance at life spiritually (as oppose to us being born into this world as a spirit in the flesh). Because I believe that we are spiritual beings having a natural experience in our daily walk. That's why we should be very careful as to the way we sin against the body/flesh because there's a difference between sin against the body and sin in general. The sins against the body are the worse & are damnation unto the "spirit man" or the soul.

This is why God instructs us in the Bible to (Galatians 5:16) "walk in the spirit and not to fulfill the lust of the flesh" & Romans 12:1-2 "to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service." (Jeremiah 1:5) God clearly states that He knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb (when we were yet just a spirit 1st).

Being a Christian/choosing to serve God & others, it's a lifestyle. (Romans 12:2) God is clearly telling us not to behave like unbelievers, to renew our mind by reading the word of God. The transformation will take place if you trust the process. Surrender your life to Christ by reading His word daily, then apply and see yourself in the scriptures that you read. Lastly, make a solid commitment to devote time to God daily by serving others, aligning yourself with Godly people in leadership positions, find a reason to invest into someone's life that needs to be inspired or who's heart may be hurting.

The following are a few strategies that are helpful to me with my walk with Christ: I have a place in my home that I go to God privately (this is where I pray and talk to Him), I take time out with my children and parents to have Bible study often, I take out 15-45mins to watch Dharius Daniels, Charles Stanley & or Michael Todd and I also have a book that I'm reading "Learning to Lead Like Jesus," by Boyd Bailey. #AgapeLove
